DO YOU KNOW "COCOA" (CHOCOLATE GOLD) AND "SALT" (WHITE GOLD) IN THE VOLTA REGION?

"Chanced on this Documentary showing on GBC News this morning and felt proud as a Voltarian and also sad we (including myself) keep complaining we don't have natural resources although we are well endowed from head to bottom.
This Documentary is about how hardworking and resilient the Ghanaian is despite the many challenges in order to succeed and survive. And the entire documentary was shot in and around the Volta Region. This documentary proves that the Volta Region has #Cocoa #Fishing and #Salt which if properly developed and invested in can change the fortunes of the local people and the economy at large. And the Documentary proves how hardworking the average Ghanaian in Volta is and this is something we should be proud of.
Watch it below!
The documentary speaks about #COCOA farming in Ghana near one of the Togo borders in the Volta Region. It further speaks about the dangers the Cocoa farmers face with the bad roads which causes accidents as well as the bad prices they get for their hardwork.
It then shows the way we bury in Ghana with crafty coffins and a hyper funeral ceremony for a Cocoa farming Teenager.
It also shows the #FISHING on the Coast of the Atlantic Ocean in the Volta Region. It also shows the dangerous transporting goods from across the famous #Volta_Lake to market centers.
It also shows the booming #SALT business, which is referred to as "White Gold" in the Volta Region and how the locals aren't benefiting despite the salt is transported internationally."
