Old man allegedly scamming accommodation seekers finally arrested, several victims emerge

  [Source]  |adomonline.com| A syndicate of serial fraudsters led by an old man who for years has been scamming persons searching for accommodation in Accra has finally been arrested. The syndicate, that posts pictures of rooms and apartments online to court unsuspecting victims, will usually bolt after taking payment and issuing fake receipts. According to Derek Ofori-Akyea, who helped in the arrest of the ringleader of the syndicate, the fraudsters will usually identify a place and take the victim for a tour after which they demand payment if the renter intends to move in quickly. Let me share an experience from Friday which may also serve as a caution to many of us who may fall victim to these guys and some others out there. Following information gathered from social media this afternoon, it was believed that soldiers stormed the Ablekuma Central Constituency, Zamerama line ( Sukura) to be precise to petrify the community over yet to be known reason. The people of Sukura also could not sit idle and be intimidated by these soldiers after considering them as fake soldiers sent by the the ruling party ( NPP ). With a video evidence, a user with the name Philip Agbeko Doe stated on his page that: " NPP thugs dressed in military uniform went terrorizing the people of Zamerama line (Sukura) in the Ablekuma Central constituency over a piece of land said to be attracted to Lord Commey. Southampton defender Mohammed Salisu Finally Accepted It - Ghana FA boss Kurt Okraku confirms.

  Ghana Football Association president Kurt Okraku has confirmed that defender Mohammed Salisu will play for the Black Stars. Okraku reveals that the Mohammed Salisu is now ready to join the Black Stars following their second meeting on Saturday. Okraku had a fruitful discussion with Salisu and his father at home.
